Warning over Lyme Disease in the South-West of Ireland

It's that time of year when people are out and about that the risk of getting Lyme disease from a tick bite is at its highest. This is especially true for anyone walking or running off road on say mountains and in forests.

It's not that you should avoid these areas but you should be aware of the risks that ticks pose.

There was an article in the Irish Times last year about the risks in Cork and Kerry.
