MARY NOLAN-HICKEY CONTINUES HER ON HER WAY

MARY NOLAN-HICKEY CONTINUES HER ON HER WAY...

A souvenir of the famous Ballycotton '10' for Mary
Mary Nolan-Hickey continued on her epic trip around the coast of Ireland this morning when setting out from Ballycotton Lifeboat Station shortly after 10am on her way to Youghal. She will travel the coastal route, through Garryvoe, Ballymacoda and Clonpriest before arriving at Youghal Lifeboat Station.

Yesterday, which was Day 90 of her voyage, saw Mary rowing across from Crosshaven to Aghada before travelling on foot to Ballycotton where she received a tremendous welcome at the Lifeboat Station down by the harbour. That brought her total mileage covered since January 1st to 1,322.46 (2,128.29km) with a colossal €23,436 already raised for the RNLI.

The people of the County Cork coastline can feel very proud of how they looked after Mary. They have honoured her like royalty. As she spends her last night in Cork County tonight before crossing the Blackwater in the morning she is anticipating being back home in two weeks time
