Race notice...Charleville Half-Marathon - Sun 23rd Sept 2012

The 11th and final race in the Ballyhoura Active Series is the Charleville Half-Marathon coming up on Sunday, the 23rd of September 2012 at 10am.

The Charleville Half-Marathon located in North Cork is ideally placed to attract runners from both Cork and Limerick as well as further afield.

The course is designed to be as flat and as fast as possible which should result in fast times for elite and novice runners alike. Coming just 5 weeks before the Dublin City Marathon, it is ideally placed for those who would like to gauge their fitness and speed before the event itself.

All proceeds from the race go to St. Josephs Foundation charity and North Cork AC development fund.

Olympic Silver Medalist Sonia O Sullivan gives the Charleville International Half Marathon her support with former Cork City Marathon winner Michael Herlihy
