Results of the Bride 10k in Rathcormac - Sun 22nd Apr 2012


The inaugural Bride 10k road race in Rathcormac got off to a great start with 246 people taking part. Conditions on the day were a little tough with a strong headwind on the uphill sections during the first half of the race. The first man home was John Meade of St.Finbarr's AC in a time of 34:32, just five seconds ahead of Kevin Wilmot of Bandon AC. The women's race was won by Annmarie Power of Eagle AC in a time of 45:03.

Great run except for the fact that I thought all the markers were km when they were miles. No wonder I thought I was struggling at 4mile thinking it was 4k

Great set up ..Must agree very strong head-wind on the uphills . Great spread afterwards and very well organized....

Great event, congrats to all, great to see events coming to the north of cork.Great set up with showers,free physio,food and pitch for warm up.Liked the choc muffins in the spread afterwards
